About the Role This posting describes an Extra Large Heat Treat Furnace and its specifications manufactured by Materials Research Furnaces, LLC. The furnace features an 8 cubic foot usable hot zone and temperatures up to 1750 °C (3200 °F), with a high load capacity and options for fast cooling and easy loading.
What You'll Do
- Review and apply furnace specifications including the 8 cubic foot usable hot zone, 1750 °C max temperature, and the 24" x 24" x 24" usable hot zone dimensions.
- Utilize the 20" diffusion pumping system and 20" high vacuum system, with a gas heat exchanger for rapid cooling.
- Work with front and rear access doors, and use the loading cart for large and heavy loads.
- Support longevity, rigidity, uniformity, and product compatibility using tungsten, molybdenum, or tantalum heating elements.
- Leverage the user-friendly HMI computer interface for monitoring and control.
What We're Looking For
- Knowledge of high-temperature furnaces and hot zone materials (tungsten, molybdenum, tantalum).
- Familiarity with high vacuum systems and gas heat exchangers for rapid cooling.
- Ability to interpret supplier specifications and product catalog details for engineering or sales applications.
- Experience with loading carts and handling large-load operations is a plus.
Nice to Have
- Interest in furnaces with front and rear access doors for loading and maintenance.
- Familiarity with large-load capacity equipment and maintenance considerations.
