About the Role

Join BlackRock's Portfolio Services team to support portfolio management and clients. You will oversee external administration and accounting reporting for assigned funds, ensuring NAV close accuracy, timely investor/regulatory reporting, and a strong control environment across internal and third-party teams.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee day-to-day external administration and accounting reporting for assigned funds
  • Review NAV accounting packages prepared by external administrators for accuracy and completeness as part of the NAV close
  • Ensure fund NAV, investor reporting, regulatory reporting deadlines are met
  • Review financial statements prepared by external administrators to ensure accuracy, completeness and GAAP/IFRS compliance
  • Actively ensure a best-in-class control environment exists internally and externally with 3rd party administrators
  • Provide ongoing operational support for complex products, reconciling data from third parties
  • Lead external and internal administration and accounting for certain mandates, including valuation, data management, and asset and cash reconciliations
  • Oversee regulatory compliance with SEC, NFA, and other regulations for products under your purview
  • Engage with audit teams around complex accounting topics and successful planning, coordination and completion of audited financials
  • Field custom reporting requests and develop reporting for investors/partners
  • Lead collaboration with external service providers, internal teams and other BlackRock groups to resolve operational issues

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in private accounting as a fund controller
  • Bachelor's degree or higher; accounting or finance majors preferred. CPA designation is a plus
  • Experience working with a public accounting firm
  • Experience with a variety of open-end alternative investment products (including hedge funds) and asset classes (including public equities and bonds, derivatives, private equity, and private debt) - highly preferred

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: USD 117,500.00 - USD 173,500.00 per year
  • Eligible for annual discretionary bonus
