Jennifer Fukumae with Robert Half is partnering with a venture capital firm seeking a Fund Accounting Manager to join its lean Finance team. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys owning fund accounting in-house and wants broad exposure to the full fund lifecycle.

What You’ll Do

• Own key areas of fund accounting and financial reporting across multiple VC funds.

• Prepare capital statements, capital activity, and investor reporting.

• Perform waterfall and carried interest calculations.

• Support quarterly and year-end closes, audits, and tax-related deliverables.

• Partner closely with the Controller, CFO, and Senior Accountant.

• Ensure fund records and reporting are accurate, timely, and well maintained.

• Work directly with leadership on ad hoc analysis and fund-related projects.

• Coordinate time-sensitive reporting requests, including those involving international teams.

• 5+ years of fund accounting experience.

• VC fund experience strongly preferred, particularly within an in-house investment firm.

• Strong understanding of waterfalls, carry, capital activity, and investor reporting.

• CPA is a major plus.

• Highly detail-oriented with strong ownership and follow-through.

• Comfortable working independently in a lean, hands-on environment.

• Willingness to support occasional off-hours requests during quarter-end or international reporting deadlines.
