Fund Accounting Manager

About this role

About the Role Manage the NAV calculation process under HedgeServ guidelines and under the supervision of a Fund Accounting Director and Managing Director. Ensure timely and accurate NAV delivery while supporting ongoing client relationships. Induction training and AML/KYC training are provided, with additional client-specific training from Directors. What You'll Do

  • Manage and develop client teams of up to 10 employees and ensure adherence to the defined control environment.
  • Review daily and monthly NAV calculations; develop and improve NAV workflows and procedures.
  • Review fee calculations, P&L allocations, and performance figures (monthly, yearly, and inception-to-date).
  • Manage the audit process, including preparation of fund financial statements, and coordinate with auditors.
  • Address fund accounting inquiries and escalations; engage with clients on complex queries.
  • Oversee client initialization and transition; participate in fund accounting training development.
  • Manage recruitment, training, and performance evaluations for the fund accounting team.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with Investor Services, Quality Assurance, Client Servicing, and Compliance.
  • Adapt to changing client requirements and business needs while maintaining a strong control environment.
  • Take responsibility for assigned tasks and demonstrate leadership through team coordination and development. What We're Looking For
  • 5 years’ experience in a Hedge Fund Administration Firm, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Legal or Business.
  • Intention to actively pursue a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, ACA); part-qualified or qualified is advantageous but not required.
  • IT literate with strong English communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team or independently; strong interpersonal skills and initiative with escalation processes.
  • Strong systems, product and process knowledge; track record of delivering responsibilities with professional standards.
  • Ability to support team engagement and collaboration; demonstrate leadership through coordination and oversight. Nice to Have
