About the Role Volt is hiring a Functional Safety Engineer in Liberty, NC. The role focuses on developing and auditing Safety Control Systems (SCS) for ISO 13849 and ANSI B11 compliance, leading cross-functional teams, mentoring the Reliability group, and providing hands-on troubleshooting during implementations. What You'll Do
- Develop detailed area project plans and schedules
- Audit Safety Control Systems (SCS) for ISO 13849 and ANSI B11 compliance
- Identify and document non-conformities within SCS designs
- Design and verify countermeasures to achieve target control category and performance levels
- Develop schedules with deliverables, milestones, concerns, and KPIs
- Manage an external 3rd party consultant group by milestones and KPIs
- Lead cross-functional communication to ensure issue resolution
- Provide written and verbal project status reports to management and stakeholders
