Household Manager / Family Assistant (with Meal Prep & Childcare Focus) Location: Inlet Beach, FL (32461) Employment Type: Full-Time, W-2 Household Employee | 40 guaranteed hours per week Schedule: 40 hours per week on a set rotation with every other weekend off:

• Weeks 1 & 3: Mon 7 AM–3 PM, Tue 9 AM–7 PM, Fri 1–9 PM, Sat 9 AM–5 PM, Sun 1–7 PM (Wed & Thu off)
• Weeks 2 & 4: Mon 7 AM–3 PM, Tue 9 AM–7 PM, Wed 1–7 PM, Thu 11 AM–7 PM, Fri 1–9 PM (Sat & Sun off)

Extended Travel: Must be willing and able to travel with the family up to approximately 20 weeks per year (up to two 8-week trips annually, primarily to the family's Colorado home). Airfare, lodging (private room with bathroom), and reasonable meals are provided, along with a family vehicle for work use.

Pet / House Sitting Coverage: Up to approximately 8 weeks per year of overnight pet and household care at the family's primary residence while the family travels.

Compensation: 30.00–35.00 per hour, depending on experience. Overtime is paid for hours over 40 per week, including travel weeks. Compensation is reviewed annually.

Mileage: Approved work-related mileage in your personal vehicle is reimbursed at the IRS standard rate.

Requirements

• Meaningful prior experience caring for toddlers.

• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and auto insurance meeting state requirements.

• A safe, reliable vehicle, and willingness to transport the family's toddler.

• Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain it before employment.

• Ability to lift and carry up to approximately 50 lbs as required for childcare and household responsibilities.

• Maintain a smoke-free environment.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

• Execute a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).

• Any offer of employment is contingent upon successful completion of a fingerprint-based (Level 2) criminal background screening and a post-offer fitness-for-duty medical clearance, conducted in accordance with applicable law. Essential physical requirements of this role include lifting up to 50 lbs, sustained standing and walking, and driving.

Key Responsibilities

• Family Support & Childcare

• Provide childcare for toddler, about 25 hours per week

• Prep clothing, snacks, and meals

• Safely transport toddler to activities and appointments as needed

• Assist with packing and preparation ahead of family travel

• Travel with the family for extended stays

• Meal Support

• Plan meals in advance with intentional grocery lists to minimize food waste

• Coordinate or assist with grocery shopping, managing routine purchases within agreed parameters

• Weekly washing, cutting, and storing of fresh fruits and vegetables

• Batch meal prep lunches

• Plan and prepare daily dinners, supporting family routine including table setting and post-meal cleanup

• Follow dietary needs and preferences

• Maintain kitchen cleanup, including all dishes and clean counters and work areas

• Plan ahead to support weekend meals as needed

• Household Organization & Maintenance

• This is not a deep-cleaning or housekeeper position; the family has professional cleaning support weekly. This role keeps the home orderly and functional between visits.

• Perform daily household resets to keep common areas tidy and functional

• Make beds daily; wash children's bedding as needed and dog bedding occasionally

• Vacuum high-traffic areas as needed between cleaning visits

• Water and care for household plants daily

• Keep children's car seats clean and vehicle interiors reasonably clean and organized

• Build and maintain organizational systems throughout the home

• Manage seasonal clothing swaps and storage transitions

• Holiday, event, and guest preparation

• Assist with special family dinner prep approximately twice per month

• Pet Care

• Walk both dogs (65 lbs & 15 lbs) twice daily, approximately 30 minutes per walk

• Feed dogs on schedule

• Manage vet and grooming scheduling

• Administer medications as needed

• Maintain pet supplies

• When the family travels without you, provide overnight pet and household coverage: daily dog care, agreed household tasks, and attention to any household issues that arise

• Inventory & Errands

• Put away grocery deliveries and restock pantry, fridge, and household supplies

• Support household supply lists, orders, and subscriptions (Amazon/Costco/Target)

• Handle returns, mail, and package management

• Break down boxes

• Manage other errands such as dry cleaning and gift shopping as needed

• Laundry & Linen Care

• Daily laundry management: washing, folding, organizing, and putting away

• Ironing/steaming and special garment care

• Maintain tidy and well-stocked laundry areas

• Coordinate with the weekly cleaner on sheets, towels, and other household needs

• Household Coordination

• Research options and obtain quotes for repairs and services

• Coordinate scheduling with vendors once approved by the family

• Bring household issues to the family's attention promptly; final decisions and approvals remain with the family
