About the Role Montreat College's SAS seeks a full-time faculty member in Healthcare Management and Leadership to teach in a Christ-centered traditional residential undergraduate liberal arts setting, with plans for future graduate studies. The candidate will help shape and collaboratively lead an interdisciplinary program integrating business acumen, health policies and practices, basic biology/medical science, and professional applications, with emphasis on data and information security in healthcare. What You'll Do
- Ten-month annual contract with teaching and program responsibilities: approximately 35-40% teaching business, leadership, and/or technology for healthcare; 35-40% teaching basic biology/medical-science-related subjects; and 10-25% program development, administration, and recruiting.
- Engage in creative collaboration around data and security in the healthcare industry.
- Provide institutional service including committee work and student academic and professional advising and mentoring.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Provost within the Faculty Handbook. What We're Looking For
- Earned terminal degree, preferably in business or a health-related natural science field; at least one graduate degree in business or equivalent, and one or more degrees or professional experience in healthcare, with ability to teach basic undergraduate biology.
- Strong Christian faith and commitment to Christian Liberal Arts and articulation of integration of faith with disciplines.
- Teaching experience in Christian higher education preferred.
- Ability to collaborate with faculty and staff across departments; commitment to professional development.
- Alignment with Mission, Vision, Statement of Faith, and Community Life Covenant of Montreat College. Nice to Have
- Experience contributing to program development and interdisciplinary collaboration.
