What You'll Do
- Teach undergraduate courses in agriculture and environmental science
- Engage in scholarly activity appropriate to the discipline
- Advise and mentor students academically and professionally
- Actively support and guide student research projects
- Assist students in securing internships and career development opportunities
- Participate in departmental, college, and university service
What We're Looking For
- Ph.D. in Agriculture, Biology, Wildlife Science, Range Ecology, or a closely related field (required)
- Ability to teach undergraduate courses in agriculture and/or environmental science
- Immediate needs for subject matter expertise to teach courses in Rangeland Ecology, Range Science, Wildlife Ecology, Wildlife Management Techniques, Energy Resources, Soil Science
- Commitment to integrating faith and learning in alignment with the mission of Abilene Christian University
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collegial, student-centered approach
- Uphold and support the Christian mission and values of ACU
- Foster a collaborative and engaging learning environment
- Contribute to program development and growth within the department
Nice to Have
- Teaching experience at the college or university level
- Experience working with undergraduate research and experiential learning opportunities
- Professional or applied experience in agriculture or environmental science fields
