Position Title Full-Time Eagles Nest Grill Cook - Eagles Nest
Job Description
- Prepare ala carte breakfast and lunch items for students, staff, and guests of Ashland University.
- Set up breakfast station for the days orders and efficiently transition to lunch.
- Maintain a clean and organized station throughout service.
- Stock station and prep additional items as needed.
- Maintain orders from Grubhub as well as in-house orders.
- Assist in monthly Inventory counting and monitor stock rotation and expiration to minimize waste.
- Ability to operate registers and take orders in a timely manner.
- Assist with monthly inventory for cost of goods.
- Maintain high levels of sanitation following the Ohio Revised Code for food safety.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Basic understanding of inventory and stock management.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Applicant must be currently authorized to work in the United States. Ashland University will not sponsor or take over sponsorship for an employment visa.
Preferred Qualifications
- Food Safety certified.
- Previous work in a high volume environment.
Physical Demands
- Area can be hot and fast paced.
- Bending, twisting, and standing for long periods.
- Ability to lift 30 lbs. or more.
