Full-Time Catering Event Supervisor 2 - Catering and Conferences
Ashland University Catering and Conferences seeks to fill a full-time Catering Event Supervisor position. AU Catering serves a large variety of events from ten (10) guest lunch meetings to three hundred (300) guest off-premise weddings and everything in between.
- Prepare for events in accordance to the Banquet Event Order (BEO).
- Leads wait staff and bartenders during the event, including assigning set up tasks, sections, and clean up tasks and ensures that all details of the BEO are met.
- Responsible for overseeing food safety and food quality.
- Manage bars and bartenders.
- Schedule varies week to week depending on events, most shifts are nights and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Hospitality experience.
- Knowledge of food safety.
- Customer service experience.
- Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older to oversee bars and bartenders.
- Applicant must be currently authorized to work in the United States. Ashland University will not sponsor or take over sponsorship for an employment visa.
Preferred Qualifications
- Catering experience.
- Special event experience.
- Leadership experience.
- Bartending experience.
Physical Demands
- Some heavy lifting.
- Standing for long periods of time.
