Job title: Full Stack Software Engineer

About the Role As a senior full stack developer at Booz Allen, you’ll deliver end-to-end software solutions in a fast and agile environment. You’ll shape systems from vision to production-ready delivery and apply modern architectural approaches to help clients overcome their toughest challenges.

What You'll Do

  • Develop software and systems from vision to production-ready implementations across the full stack, ensuring alignment with current architecture and operating environment while enabling future enhancements.
  • Collaborate with clients and teams to apply the latest architectural approaches, tools, and technologies to address challenging challenges.
  • Help shape and improve systems for better outcomes, beyond just writing code.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience with object-oriented programming language constructs.
  • Experience with Linux operating systems (RHEL).
  • Experience developing with interpreted languages (Python).
  • Experience in test-driven development (TDD).
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, or Helm charts.
  • TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree and 14+ years of software engineering, or 18+ years of software engineering in lieu of a degree.

Nice to Have

  • Go programming language with concurrent or parallel processing patterns.
  • TypeScript and Angular framework for web application development.
  • Stream processing systems such as Kafka, Redis Streams, AMQP, Redpanda Connect, or Benthos.
  • Web accessibility standards such as WCAG 2.1.
  • Cloud technologies and concepts including AWS.
  • Agentic development workflows and AI-assisted coding tools.
  • Atlassian suite tools for project management such as Jira or Confluence.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 USD annually.
  • Benefits include health, life, disability, financial, and retirement benefits, paid leave, professional development, tuition assistance, work-life programs, and dependent care; recognition awards program.
  • Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week are eligible to participate in Booz Allen’s benefit programs; others may have select offerings.
