Full Stack .NET Developer

The Software Engineer designs, develops, integrates, and supports software solutions that improves engineering, drafting, and construction workflows. The position develops Autodesk Revit add-ins and cloud integrations for Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Autodesk Forma, and Autodesk Platform Services (APS), while also delivering secure applications, APIs, databases, automation, and cloud services using C#/.NET, SQL Server, and Microsoft Azure.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, enhance, document, and maintain Autodesk Revit add-ins using C#, .NET, and the Revit API.

  • Design and maintain integrations among Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Autodesk Forma, BIM 360, and other business systems using Autodesk Platform Services APIs.

  • Develop secure REST APIs, web applications, desktop applications, background services, integration tools, and SQL Server solutions.

  • Design, deploy, monitor, and support applications, APIs, databases, and services hosted in Microsoft Azure.

  • Participate throughout the Software Development Life Cycle, including requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, documentation, deployment, maintenance, and retirement.

  • Implement appropriate application logging, exception handling, monitoring, security, data validation, data synchronization, and notification capabilities.

  • Use Git and Azure DevOps for source control, work tracking, code reviews, builds, releases, and deployment processes.

  • Evaluate and responsibly apply AI technologies for document processing, model analysis, enterprise search, reporting, and workflow automation.

  • Collaborate with BIM, drafting, engineering, construction, project management, information technology, and business teams to translate operational needs into maintainable software solutions.

  • Troubleshoot application, integration, API, database, authentication, performance, and deployment issues and coordinate resolution with internal teams and vendors.

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, system diagrams, support procedures, release notes, and user guidance.

  • Follow Metromont development, cybersecurity, data governance, change-management, quality, and safety practices.

  • Provide feedback and recommendations for continuous improvement of development standards, BIM workflows, integrations, and business processes.

  • Strong software engineering, analytical, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills.

  • Ability to understand BIM, design, engineering, and construction workflows and translate them into practical software requirements.

  • Ability to design maintainable, secure, testable, and supportable software and integrations.

  • Effective verbal, written, technical, and interpersonal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, document work, and collaborate effectively across departments.

  • Commitment to secure development, data privacy, code quality, continuous learning, and operational excellence.

  • EDUCATION AND TECHNOLOGY

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Three or more years of professional C#/.NET software development experience.

  • Strong SQL Server skills, including relational data design, queries, stored procedures, performance considerations, and data integration.

  • Experience developing and consuming REST APIs and integrating cloud or enterprise applications.

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, Git, Visual Studio, and Azure DevOps.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

  • Hands-on experience developing with Autodesk Revit and the Revit API is a plus!

  • Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud, Autodesk Forma, BIM 360, or Autodesk Platform Services is a plus!

  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with ASP.NET Core, WPF, Blazor, or related .NET application frameworks.

  • Experience designing Azure-hosted applications, services, identity integrations, monitoring, and deployment pipelines.

  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric or related analytics and data-integration technologies.

  • Experience with Claude or other enterprise AI technologies used for document processing, knowledge retrieval, reporting, software development, or workflow automation.

  • Experience supporting BIM, engineering, construction, precast concrete, manufacturing, or other design-intensive environments.

  • Knowledge of secure software development, application authentication and authorization, API security, testing, and CI/CD practices.
