About the Role Join Railway as a Full-Stack Engineer to build end-to-end features across the dashboard UI and backend workflows. You’ll work with Temporal, TypeScript, GraphQL, and contribute to OSS projects, while shaping interfaces and data models for internal and external users. This role offers high impact and autonomy, with opportunities to influence product direction and company culture. What You'll Do
- Build features end-to-end from the UI in our dashboard to orchestrating workflows that interact with our microservices using Temporal.
- Craft intuitive interfaces with help from our design team to enable users to interface with powerful computing paradigms.
- Build TypeScript + GraphQL APIs with strong guarantees around modeling data for internal and external users.
- Write Engineering Requirement Documents to move ideas from concept to defined tasks, implementation, and monitoring success.
- Work with Rust to contribute to Railway's open-source repositories (CLI, Nixpacks) when needed.
- Be on-call from time to time in this role.
- Contribute to projects such as rebuilding logging infrastructure to support 1B logs/day, building Git for infrastructure, creating tooling for building user code into deployable images with Nix packages, visualizing project infrastructure on a 2D canvas, migrating deployments across regions using Temporal, and creating a marketplace for reusable infrastructure. What We're Looking For
- Ability to autonomously lead, design, and implement great product experiences from front to back.
- Strong understanding of frontend architecture to build interactivity-rich systems for fetching, mutating, and rendering data effectively.
- Experience managing complex asynchronous backend jobs for something like a build/deploy pipeline.
- Desire to be part of the entire project development process, from research gathering and planning to implementation and monitoring.
