Job title: Full-stack Developer

About the Role

Join light-it as a full-stack developer focused on building reliable, scalable software within our Digital Health Innovation Lab and client projects. You will review and refactor existing code, design reusable components, and drive performance and usability improvements across the product lifecycle. You will collaborate with designers, testers, developers, and product managers to maintain high standards for secure systems.

What You'll Do

• Review and refactor existing code into high-quality, maintainable software.
• Design reliable and reusable code and develop highly efficient UI components.
• Enhance performance and usability of applications; identify and fix bottlenecks, debugging as needed.
• Analyze website performance and drive improvements; monitor system reliability, security, and scalability.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team of designers, testers, developers, and product managers.
• Provide support to other developers and pass on knowledge.
• Work on customer projects and internal projects, including Digital Health Innovation Lab.
• Maintain coding standards and best practices.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
• Working experience with Laravel and related technologies/frameworks.
• Experience using MySQL or PostgreSQL and a non-relational database engine.
• Excellent analytical and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Ability to Review and refactor existing code into high-quality code.
• Design reliable and reusable code.
• Develop highly efficient user interface components.
• Analyze website performance and drive improvements.
• Detect improvement opportunities and discuss them with the team.
• Giving support to other software developers and passing on knowledge.
• Working both on our customer’s projects and in internal projects or our Digital Health Innovation Lab.
• Meet the team and collaborate with designers, testers, developers, and product managers throughout the product life cycle.

Nice to Have

• Front-end knowledge (using a javascript framework like React, Vue, Angular, or others).
• HIPAA/FHIR/HL7 or other protocols, standards, and Healthcare specific knowledge.
• Expertise in other back-end frameworks such as Django, Rails, Nest or Spring.
• Experience with additional back-end frameworks or healthcare domain projects.
