Robert Half
We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee core accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records for the business. This role is based in the Boynton/Delray area and is ideal for someone who can manage day-to-day bookkeeping, support reporting cycles, and coordinate closely with external accounting partners. The position also plays an important part in payroll administration, employee-related financial processes, and maintaining compliance with operational documentation requirements.
Responsibilities:

Maintain the general ledger and organize the chart of accounts to support accurate financial reporting.

Record and post journal entries while verifying the completeness and accuracy of accounting data.

Administer banking activities, including online transactions, deposits, disbursements, and account reconciliations.

Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows and collaborate with internal teams to keep transactions current.

Track credit card activity, process employee expense reimbursements, and reconcile related balances.

Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures to ensure timely completion of accounting cycles.

Prepare recurring financial reports such as profit and loss statements and balance sheets for leadership review.

Coordinate business insurance renewals, licenses, and other administrative requirements tied to ongoing operations.

Partner with external CPAs on quarterly tax support and annual financial review preparation.

Support payroll processing and help manage onboarding paperwork and finance-related documentation for new employees.

7+ years of experience in full charge bookkeeping or a closely related accounting position.

Hands-on experience with QuickBooks and strong familiarity with accounting software platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or Microsoft Great Plains.

Solid working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, and bank reconciliation processes.

Demonstrated experience supporting month-end close and preparing standard financial statements.

Background in processing bi-weekly payroll and handling employee-related financial administration.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Ability to work independently while coordinating with internal stakeholders and external accounting professionals.
