About the Role Stefanini Group is hiring a Fuel Systems Design Release Engineer in Auburn Hills, MI to lead the design, development, APQP, and production release of fuel system components, including fuel/urea tanks and fuel/urea delivery modules. This role will collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to drive quality improvements, value optimization, and efficiency initiatives. What You'll Do
- Responsible for the design, development, APQP, and production release of fuel system components (fuel/urea tanks and fuel/urea delivery modules).
- Drive quality improvements, value optimization, weight reduction, and other efficiency initiatives, including communicating technical status to management.
- Interact with suppliers and internal/external groups such as vehicle program teams, testing & prototype labs, CAE engineers, supplier operations, and manufacturing plants.
- Support and lead quality improvement initiatives related to fuel system components and assemblies. What We're Looking For
- 2-5 years of relevant engineering experience (preferred 2-3+ years).
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (ABET-accredited or equivalent).
- Experience as Design Release Engineer, Product Engineer, or Component Engineer (not primarily CAD/design-focused roles).
- Experience with fuel systems: fuel tanks, fuel delivery modules, fuel pumps, and urea/DEF tank systems.
- Understanding of APQP processes; experience supporting product validation activities (DVP&R exposure preferred).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with suppliers, manufacturing, validation labs, program teams, and quality organizations.
