About the Role As a Front-End Engineer within our Engineering org, you will design, develop, and maintain the user-facing applications and interfaces that power Smarkets' products. You will collaborate with engineering managers, technical leadership, product managers, and designers to deliver intuitive, high-performing web and mobile experiences aligned with the product roadmap.
What You'll Do
- Design, implement and maintain complex features and interfaces across web and mobile (iOS & Android), built with React, React Native and TypeScript
- Work closely with Product, Design and other engineering teams to scope and lead business goal-aligned projects
- Translate designs and prototypes from Figma into polished, functional and pixel-perfect interfaces
- Implement monitoring and error tracking to ensure the stability and performance of our user-facing applications
- Help reinforce the standard for code quality, by writing tests and reviewing merge requests
- Continuously improve engineering processes including CI/CD
- Be the champion of the stack by demonstrating first-hand how to implement functionality the right way, with an eye to the horizon and your mind on the present
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years of experience as a software engineer, with a strong focus on front-end development
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and React
