About the Role
Sonder's Front Desk Hospitality Agents are the face of Sonder, delivering hospitality through tech-powered service and guest-centric support. This role combines guest interaction with problem solving in a fast-paced, evolving environment, ensuring seamless stays across properties.
What You'll Do
- Be the face of Sonder, welcome guests, visitors, and partners, and make a strong first impression.
- Guide guests through the technology-rich Sonder experience and help them maximize their stay and use our tech features.
- Utilize digital communication systems to receive calls, SMS, and live chats, and offer immediate front desk support.
- Interact with guests with hospitality and professionalism; resolve complaints; assist with inquiries related to services, hours, directions, etc.
- Assist building leadership with administrative tasks to keep operations running smoothly.
- Flex to support back-of-house/Hospitality Agent team on day-to-day operations via housekeeping quality audits, inventory checks, minor maintenance and tech issue handling.
- Ensure maintenance, cleanliness, and organization of guest-facing and back-of-house spaces (lobbies, offices, storage) as assigned.
- Support multiple Sonder properties throughout the local market as required.
What We're Looking For
- Personable, guest-centric, positive; enjoys speaking with guests in person, on the phone, email, and chat.
- Demonstrated experience in hotels, restaurants, or other customer-facing hospitality, service, and/or customer experience roles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a drive to get things done for guests.
- Strong computer literacy and writing skills; comfortable switching between desktop and mobile apps.
- Organized, hardworking, and detail-oriented; thrives in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Ability to work effectively in both team settings and independently; flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to lift/carry items up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Proficiency in languages other than English is a plus.
- This role requires regular access to a reliable smartphone for work purposes (expense reimbursement available).
- This role requires reliable transportation and willingness to travel between properties on a daily basis when working (reliable transport includes biking, walking, public transit, scooter, or other transit).
