Front Desk Coordinator

We are looking for a Front Desk Coordinator to support daily front office operations for a healthcare-focused setting. This Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys creating a welcoming first impression, keeping schedules organized, and assisting patients through the check-in process. The role blends customer service, administrative coordination, and appointment support in a detail-oriented environment where accuracy and clear communication are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients and visitors courteously, answer incoming calls, and direct questions to the appropriate staff members.

  • Manage appointment calendars by booking, confirming, rescheduling, and canceling visits while maintaining accurate scheduling records.

  • Register arriving patients, verify essential information, and ensure check-in procedures are completed efficiently.

  • Support front office workflow by handling routine receptionist tasks, monitoring patient flow, and maintaining an organized reception area.

  • Communicate clearly with patients regarding office procedures, arrival expectations, and general visit-related information.

  • Enter and update basic patient and appointment details with attention to accuracy and confidentiality.

  • Help maintain a neat workplace appearance by following dress expectations such as scrubs or business casual attire.

  • Complete pre-employment screening requirements, including background screening and required substance screening, before starting the assignment.

  • Prior experience in a front desk, receptionist, or administrative support role is preferred.

  • Exposure to a medical office environment is helpful but not required for consideration.

  • Ability to coordinate patient appointments and manage scheduling changes in a fast-paced setting.

  • Comfortable performing check-in duties and handling front office interactions with professionalism.

  • Basic understanding of medical terminology is preferred.

  • Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to maintain accuracy while managing multiple tasks and frequent interruptions.
