Job title: Front Desk Attendant - Lewis Center (26/27) - FWS Student
About the Role The front desk attendant at Randall Lewis Center serves as the first line of customer service, welcoming users and guiding them to available spaces. This Federal Work-Study, part-time position starts August 17th and supports programming, information distribution, and center upkeep.
What You'll Do
- Greet users and guests.
- Check users in by scanning id cards.
- Provide information regarding center programming and activities.
- Deliver exceptional service experience to all users and guests.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the center.
- Help distribute Leo Food Pantry food bags.
What We're Looking For
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to communicate with others.
- Time management skills.
- Basic reliability and customer service mindset.
Nice to Have
- Past work experience or volunteer work preferred but will consider mentorship for those without a past work history.
- CPR preferred, but not required.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly rate: $16.90.
- Paid Sick Leave: One hour of Paid Sick Leave for every 30 hours worked, with a maximum accrual of 24 hours per year and capped at 48 hours.
- University of La Verne Defined Contribution Retirement Plan – employee voluntary contributions.
- In accordance with the Affordable Care Act (ACA), employees who work an average of 30 or more hours per week will be eligible for medical coverage through the University of La Verne.
- Covered under the University of La Verne Workers Compensation Insurance.
