We are seeking a skilled freelance translator, editor, and lawyer fluent in both English and Finnish. This role involves delivering high-quality translations, edits, and legal content for various projects, including legal documents, contracts, business communications, and other specialized fields.
Job Description
- Translate, edit, and proofread legal documents, contracts, and other content from English to Finnish with high accuracy and cultural relevance.
- Ensure that all translations are clear, legally sound, and adhere to legal terminology.
- Review and edit legal content for clarity, grammar, and consistency.
- Adapt translations to the Finnish legal system and cultural context.
- Collaborate with clients, legal teams, and project managers to meet deadlines and ensure high-quality work.
Requirements
- Fluency in both English and Finnish with strong written communication skills in both languages.
- Proven experience in legal translation, editing, and proofreading (1–3 years preferred).
- In-depth understanding of legal terminology and concepts in both languages.
- Experience in legal practice or law-related fields is a plus.
- Detail-oriented, professional, and capable of working under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with legal translation tools and resources.
