About this role
Freelance Marketing Manager
Section: Overview Freelance Marketing Manager needed for a hybrid role based in London with remote work option. Contract position running for two days per week with a day rate of £250.
Section: Responsibilities
- Brand Partnerships: Own the day-to-day management and delivery of Sedge Beswick brand partnerships. You'll manage campaign timelines and deliverables, coordinate with brand and agency teams, make sure content is delivered on time and to brief, and pull together strong post-campaign reporting.
- YouTube: Own the production arm of the Sedge Beswick YouTube channel. You’ll take ideas from Sedge and the wider team and build scripts for YouTube around this. You'll look at channel data to see what is working and what trends are across YouTube. You’ll come up with proactive ideas, helping shape the channel and direction of growth. You'll manage thumbnail creation and descriptions to each video.
- Quit To Grow: Helping on Quit To Grow and making the product into a recognisable brand. You’ll own key campaign moments, gifting and seeding, launches and activations, bringing proactive ideas for how we get the brand into the right hands and conversations.
- Client & Commercial Work: Work across Sedge's advisory and client work, working closely with Sedge's team to bring projects, ideas and opportunities to life.
- PR & Speaking Opportunities: Manage inbound PR and speaking opportunities, helping coordinate and follow-up, ensuring opportunities are well managed from initial conversation through to delivery.
- CRM & Audience Growth: You'll be responsible for building and maintaining clear audience segments across brand partners, clients, speaking, mentoring, YouTube, Quit To Grow and the wider Sedge network. Identify opportunities to grow the database; making sure data is captured and categorised properly across every touchpoint. You'll also look at how we activate the database - supporting targeted communications, launches, campaigns and commercial opportunities rather than simply collecting contacts.
Section: Who We're Looking For
- Someone who is a marketing generalist - comfortable moving between strategy and execution.
- You'll be an excellent project manager, a strong storyteller, confident in Figma, obsessed with the detail and naturally organised.
- You'll understand content and what makes people pay attention, but you'll also understand the commercial side of marketing.
- Most importantly, you need to be proactive. Sedge has lots of ideas and moves quickly. I need someone who can bring structure to that, challenge where needed and then get things over the line.
- This would suit someone with experience across personal brands, creators, founder-led businesses, agencies or fast-moving brands who wants two days a week of engaging, varied work.
- You need to be someone who can make good work happen - not just manage a marketing calendar.
