About the Role Tomedes seeks an experienced Freelance English–Roki (Rukai) Translator to join our global network of language professionals. This fully remote, project-based role involves translating diverse content between English and Roki (Rukai) for international clients across multiple industries, delivering accurate, culturally appropriate translations that meet high quality standards. What You'll Do
- Translate documents, websites, marketing materials, and other content between English and Roki (Rukai) with accuracy and cultural sensitivity.
- Preserve the meaning, tone, and intent of source texts across translation projects. Proofread and edit translated content for fluency, consistency, grammar, and terminology. Adapt translations for target audiences while maintaining linguistic and cultural accuracy.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely delivery and exceptional quality.
- Translate content across legal, business, technical, medical, marketing, educational, and general documents. What We're Looking For
- Native or near-native fluency in both English and Roki (Rukai).
- Minimum of 1–3 years of professional translation experience.
- Excellent written communication skills in both languages.
- Experience with CAT tools such as SDL Trados, MemoQ, Phrase, or equivalent is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple translation projects simultaneously.
- Specialization in legal, medical, technical, or business translation is a plus. Nice to Have
