Job title: Foundry Maintenance Mechanic - 3rd Shift
About the Role This self-starting and motivated individual will be part of the Foundry Maintenance team, responsible for maintaining, testing and repairing electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components. They will triage work as needed and apply knowledge to determine equipment malfunctions and restore operation. Reports to the Foundry Maintenance Supervisor; on-site in Franklin, NH. Third shift hours are 9pm - 5:30 am with overtime as needed.
What You'll Do
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic equipment including but not limited to programmable controls, numerically controlled systems, power supplies, drives, gauges and test equipment.
- Plan and perform work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical principles, writing specifications, local and national electrical codes, properties of various materials, and principles of operation and application of electronic equipment.
- Install, starts up and shuts down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown and in line with OSHA requirements.
- Advise operators and line mechanics of operation procedures and requirements for working safely with electrical/electronic and mechanical equipment and components.
- Inform appropriate management and maintenance mechanics of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved.
- Maintains company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment.
- Performs preventive maintenance functions as directed.
- Assists maintenance personnel with technical troubleshooting and may train other members of the maintenance team.
- Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by the Foundry Maintenance Supervisor or Company management.
- Travel Requirements: up to 10% for training as needed.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of proven experience in the electrical/electronics, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic fields.
- Computer experience/operation and PLC programming are necessary. Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- A thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes.
- Must be able to work respectfully and professionally with all levels of personnel and interface clearly with line operators for repairs and troubleshooting.
- Willing to work overtime as required.
- High degree of precision working with minimum tolerances.
- Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.
- Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks, including pre‑employment testing, as a condition of employment.
Nice to Have
- Experience with cutting, welding and fabrication preferred.
- Ability to cover other shifts preferred.
