About the Role Join Hiring.Cafe as a Founding Software Engineer to help build a 100× faster job search engine. You will architect scalable infrastructure, real-time web crawlers, and recommendation systems that help millions find meaningful opportunities. As a founding team member, your work directly shapes how real people discover jobs. What You'll Do
- Design and implement scalable infrastructure to convert fragmented web data into a clean, searchable platform.
- Build and operate real-time web crawlers that index jobs at scale.
- Develop ranking and recommendation systems to improve job discovery.
- Collaborate with product, data, and design to ship features used by real people from day one.
- Own critical components from development through deployment and monitoring. What We're Looking For
- Technically strong fundamentals in programming and systems design.
- Experience with Node.js and Python.
- Ability to learn fast and dive deep on unfamiliar problems.
- Obsessive about details, quality, and correctness.
- Willingness to own responsibilities from day one. Nice to Have
- Interest in security and reverse-engineering (preferred). Compensation & Benefits
- Salary IC2: 160k - 180k base salary + equity
- Salary IC3: 200k - 300k base salary + equity
