About the job
We're building the operating system for regulated money movement. The product is 80% built and running in production on AWS. No waiting for product-market fit: a real customer is lined up.
We need one senior engineer to own the codebase and take it to market in 2 months.
What you'll ship

First 2 weeks: Take ownership. Get everything running locally, learn how the pieces connect, and ship a few features.

Next: Make the money paths bulletproof. Harden the ledger and accounting reports, and prove them with automated tests.

Then: Launch. Finish the launch features, set up monitoring and tested backups, and go live with our first customer.
What you'll own
All of it: Next.js, NestJS, PostgreSQL, AWS. No layers of review between you and production. You work directly with the founder, who knows the business rules cold, and turn them into specs, tests and shipped features.
How we work
AI-native. You use Claude Code or Cursor every day, and you check what the AI wrote before it ships. Specs before code, side by side with the founders. Fast but careful, because it's money.
You might be a fit if

You have 6+ years building production software and have been the person responsible when it broke.

TypeScript is your native language on both frontend and backend.

You've shipped NestJS in production (modules, dependency injection, guards).

You know Next.js App Router, or you know React deeply and can pick it up in a week.

You think in PostgreSQL transactions and locks, not just ORM calls.

You've run things on AWS: ECS/Fargate, RDS, S3, SQS, Cognito.
Bonus: payments, ledgers, accounting, PDF/document tooling, or audits and regulated work.
This isn't for you if
You want a big team, a long ramp-up, remote work, or a spec handed to you.
Compensation

Base: $125K–$155K, depending on experience.

Equity: open to discussion, based on experience.

Launch bonus: $10,000 when the platform completes its first 100 live transactions.

Time off: paid holidays, PTO and paid sick time.
