About the Role
Join an early-stage AI company as its first go-to-market hire, owning both prospecting and closing initial enterprise deals. This hands-on individual contributor role will help shape the sales motion through customer discovery, pilots, and close collaboration with the product team.
What You'll Do

Identify promising buyer personas and market segments for the product.

Build outbound campaigns from the ground up, including prospect lists, email sequences, and channel experiments.

Test sales tactics, evaluate results, and focus effort on what generates pipeline.

Source and close enterprise deals, defining success criteria with prospective customers.

Run customer proofs of concept independently, from scoping through decision.

Speak with users of the company's AI agents to understand workflows and needs.

Share customer feedback and objections with the product team to inform priorities.

Manage a sales budget and take ownership of pipeline and closing targets.
What We're Looking For

Experience in enterprise sales, with a record of personally sourcing and closing deals while exceeding quota.

Ability to qualify prospects by quickly understanding their business models, financial metrics, and potential ROI.

Experience independently running customer proofs of concept.

Fluency with modern go-to-market tools and building custom sales workflows or automation.

Strong writing and communication skills for technical and financial audiences.

Resourcefulness in reaching decision-makers when standard outreach is ineffective, and comfort adapting based on results.

Interest in AI agents and how they may change enterprise work; early-stage startup, founder, or competitive athletic experience is relevant.

Individual contributor role suited to a self-directed, collaborative seller who enjoys solving new problems.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary is $80,000 to $120,000 annually. Equity is offered. Visa sponsorship is available.
Location
On-site five days a week in San Francisco, California.
