About

Banks, payments companies, and fintechs are putting AI agents in front of millions of customers, but there's still no accepted way to show those agents follow the rules. Today, most institutions review a small sample of agent conversations by hand, and a governance review tests whether a policy exists. These tests are manual and adhoc and not scalable or point in time. We are a pre-seed AI startup building at the intersection of regulated industries and AI Compliance. You'd be joining a founding team with deep experience in AI risk and financial regulation, evaluation science, machine learning research, and scaling production AI products, backed by advisors with long careers in banking and regulation.

Why join

  • A problem with real stakes. Our pilots consistently find agent conversations that break consumer-protection rules without anyone noticing. Making those failures visible and fixable before they become a consent order is critical.
  • Shape the product early. You'll work closely with the founders on how compliance officers, product leaders, and auditors experience and use our product, and your ideas will ship.
  • Direct line to customers. You'll join pilot calls with bank product and compliance teams, watch them use what you built, and iterate fast.
  • Grow with the company. You'll take on more ownership as we scale, with room to grow into a senior or lead role.
  • Upside. A competitive salary and early-team equity in a company at the very start of its growth.

What you'll do

  • Own the frontend. Build the dashboards, review workflows, and reports compliance teams use every day, and the APIs behind them. You'll heavily influence the standard for how the product looks and feels.

  • Structure our regulatory data. Design how the regulatory requirements our experts write are modeled, stored, and versioned, with diffs, approvals, and backtesting. Connect the tools experts use to review them with the systems that run the checks, so an approved change reaches production without manual steps.

  • Build infrastructure for demos and research. Stand up dedicated environments where customer demos and model experiments run apart from production, along with the evaluation pipelines, labeling tools, and shadow deployments our safety models depend on.

  • Own how the stack fits together. Keep the integrations across the stack working, run the engineering backlog, and own CI/CD from tests through deployments.

  • Design customer integrations and deployments. Define how we ingest customer data and action logs from platforms like Genesys, NICE, Amazon Connect, and Salesforce, including PII redaction, SSO, schema normalization, and historical backfill, and how we deploy for each institution, whether in our cloud or in theirs.

  • Meet bank-grade standards. Build tenant isolation, role-based access, immutable audit logs, and the testing and on-call practices that pass vendor risk and SR 11-7 reviews.

  • Learn from customers. Join pilot calls with compliance and risk teams and ship what you learn.

  • What we're looking for

  • 4–6 years building production software, including features you owned from design through launch.

  • Experience at an early-stage startup.

  • Strong full-stack skills: a modern frontend framework (we use React/TypeScript) and backend services in Python (we use FastAPI with Postgres), including API design, relational data modeling, and schema migrations. You care how an interface looks and feels, and you've shipped frontends people enjoy using.

  • Hands-on cloud infrastructure and CI/CD experience. You've set up environments, pipelines, and deploys yourself, ideally on AWS with infrastructure as code.

  • Data engineering and data modeling experience, including turning messy, loosely structured data into schemas that can be versioned, validated, and queried.

  • Experience building data-heavy products, where users need to search, filter, drill into, and act on large volumes of records.

  • Experience integrating with customer systems and deploying into enterprise environments, including security reviews and procurement.

  • Product sense: you care about who uses what you build, and you'd rather ship a rough version and learn than polish in isolation.

  • Hands-on experience building systems with AI tools, with an essential bias towards owning the system design and reasoning behind each decision.

  • Clear communication, including with non-technical stakeholders such as compliance, risk, and audit teams.

  • Ownership and comfort with ambiguity at an early-stage company.

  • Nice to have

  • Experience in banking, payments, fintech, or regtech, or building tools for compliance, audit, legal, or risk teams.

  • Strong design sense, or experience designing complex workflows without a dedicated designer.
