Forward-Deployed Engineer (FDE)

Aledade

About this role

Job title: Forward-Deployed Engineer (FDE)

About the Role

Aledade's AI Enablement team enables, educates, and supports the Product, Tech, and Analytics organization in adopting developer-centric AI tools. The Forward-Deployed Engineer (FDE) embeds directly with a PTA cohort — Point of Care, Risk, Data, or another team — to unblock AI adoption on the ground: shipping plugins and skills tailored to that team's workflows, integrating their tools through the MCP Gateway, and turning hard-won lessons into reusable patterns for the broader platform. This is the role for engineers who think like internal consultants: meet teams where they are, build what they need today, and feed durable wins back into the marketplace and installer that the rest of Aledade depends on.

What You'll Do

  • Ship plugins and skills tailored to each team's workflows, integrating their tools through the MCP Gateway.

  • Embed with a PTA cohort to unblock AI adoption on the ground and deliver tangible improvements today.

  • Turn lessons into reusable patterns for the broader platform, helping scale successful approaches across Aledade.

  • What We're Looking For

  • Engineers who think like internal consultants: able to meet teams where they are, rapid problem framing, and delivering practical solutions.

  • Experience building at the intersection of products, tech, and analytics, with a focus on developer tooling and AI integration.

  • Strong collaboration and the ability to turn real-world workflows into durable patterns for the platform.

  • Comfortable working with cross-functional teams and navigating changing requirements.

  • Physical requirements: Sitting for prolonged periods, extensive use of computers and keyboard. Occasional walking and lifting may be required.
