About the Role Volt is hiring a Forklift Operator III to safely operate industrial forklifts in a fast-paced facility, tracking loads and delivering units to customers per requirements. This role involves ensuring safety, accurate shipping, and collaboration with other drivers.
What You'll Do
- Safely operate industrial forklifts in a high-volume environment and move materials throughout the facility
- Inspect forklift daily, complete safety checklists, and maintain equipment cleanliness
- Load/unload trucks per department standards and customer demands; palletize or stretch wrap units
- Use RF scanner for receipts and verify counts, quantities, quality, and descriptions
- Service production lines and deliver products as requested; assist other departments as needed
- Maintain paperwork accurately related to movement of products and materials; manage propane tank changes
- Ensure safety and cleanliness of warehouse and loading docks
- Learn and use proprietary Corrugated Manufacturing software
What We're Looking For
- High School diploma or GED; valid driver’s license
- Forklift experience in a high-volume, high-speed environment preferred
- Forklift driver certification preferred (but willing to train)
- Ability to read and interpret documents, follow maintenance instructions, and perform basic arithmetic
- Ability to read a tape measure and work in a team-oriented environment
- Flexibility to work 1st shift (5am-1pm) or 2nd shift (1pm-9pm)
Nice to Have
- Experience with RF scanners and warehouse management systems
- Prior experience in corrugated/manufacturing environments
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay rate: $18.00 - $21.76 per hour
