Job title: Forklift Operator I
About the Role The Forklift Operator will ensure the safe and efficient operation of sit-down forklift equipment to move, load, and unload shipments of various sizes while maintaining a fast-paced, team-oriented, and safety-driven environment.
What You'll Do
- Operate sit-down forklift to move, load, and unload shipments in a timely and safe manner.
- Pick and prepare material for shipment, ensuring accuracy and adherence to load counts.
- Verify load accuracy, inspect for product damage, and report discrepancies as necessary.
- Manually stack 55-pound bags following customer instructions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment; follow all work instructions, safety procedures, and workplace policies.
- Comply with OSHA and SDS standards; conduct daily equipment inspections and report issues.
- Perform LP tank changes as needed, monitoring power sources for equipment.
- Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy and participate in physical inventory counts.
- Communicate concerns or issues promptly to warehouse leads or management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or equivalent; valid driver's license.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to lift up to 55 pounds and work in a non-temperature-controlled warehouse.
- Flexibility to work 12-hour variable shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
- Must be willing to work in a non-temperature-controlled warehouse environment.
Nice to Have
- Prior forklift experience (sit-down forklift preferred).
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
