About this role
About the Role The Forklift Operator will support Optimized Process Designs (OPD), a Koch Engineered Solutions company, by operating an extended reach forklift to transport materials at the Baytown, TX jobsite. This is a full-time onsite role based in Baytown, TX. What You'll Do
- Operate an extended reach forklift to transport materials within the jobsite
- Transport pallets, boxes, pipes, and other large objects; unload shipments and stage in designated areas
- Interpret hand signals to determine material placement
- Participate in onsite safety meetings and maintain a strong safety culture
- Be on time to the jobsite each day and ready for work; work up to 12-hour shifts and travel with extended periods away when required
- Work outdoors in extreme conditions and lift up to 60 lbs What We're Looking For
- At least 1.5 years of forklift operator experience
- Ability to work shifts up to 12 hours per day and 7 days per week; travel with extended periods away
- Willingness to attend mandatory safety meetings and work in a team environment
- Able to meet basic physical requirements and work outdoors in varying conditions
- Good hand-eye coordination and ability to follow safety policies Nice to Have
- Three years of forklift operator experience
- Proficiency operating other large equipment such as skid steer, tractor, track hoe, back hoe, or excavator
