Job title: Forklift Operator
About the Role This role operates a forklift to locate, pick, stage, and load customer orders, ensuring safe and efficient material handling and accurate transaction recording using RF scanning equipment. It may also involve pick/pack duties and loading/unloading trucks from suppliers during a 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday–Friday shift.
What You'll Do
- Pick orders and move to staging area.
- Record all transactions with the RF gun to proper location.
- Properly package orders for secure transportation.
- Load/unload transfer trailers and supplier shipments.
- Assist in Pick and Pack area to pull orders as needed.
- Keep warehouse and storage areas neat and clean; maintain inventory by using correct scanning procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- 1-3 years forklift experience.
- 1-3 years’ experience in loading and unloading trucks.
- Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing/shipping environment.
- Ability to operate computers and RF bar code equipment.
- Good communication and teamwork; ability to work independently.
- Willingness to work overtime, holidays, and weekends; flexible on working hours during heavy business days.
- Knowledge in the use of scanning guns.
