Job title: Forklift Operator
About the Role DHL Supply Chain is seeking a Forklift Operator on the First Shift to move stock within a fast-paced warehouse, load/unload shipments, and operate a range of forklifts and pallet jacks. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and accurate inventory handling to support shipping and receiving operations.
What You'll Do
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, pallet jack, etc.) to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers safely and efficiently.
- Inspect equipment daily before use to ensure safe operation.
- Perform accurate inventory handling and documentation as required.
- Stack and organize materials according to company safety and efficiency standards.
- Support shipping, receiving, and warehouse organization.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the work area.
- Communicate effectively with team members, leads, and supervisors.
- Assist in physical inventories.
What We're Looking For
- Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred.
- Six months warehouse experience, preferred.
- Six months forklift operation experience.
- Computer literacy and the ability to load, unload, move, and stack products and materials safely and efficiently.
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety standards; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate with supervisors and colleagues.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of OSHA and MSDS standards.
- Familiarity with inventory management processes or systems.
