About the Role DHL Supply Chain is hiring a Second Shift Forklift Operator for our Salt Lake City warehouse. You will move stock, load and unload shipments, and operate stand-up, sit-down, or clamp forklifts and electric pallet jacks in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.
What You'll Do
- Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using forklifts or other power equipment (80% of shift)
- Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring exact numbers and types of product are loaded
- Maintain inventory records for accuracy and report variances
- Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards
- Verify load accuracy, including load count, stability, and product damage; report variances
- Change equipment batteries or LP gas tanks and monitor power sources as needed
- Keep equipment and facilities neat, clean, and orderly
- Assist in physical inventories and perform daily equipment inspections
- Perform other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
- Forklift operator certificate or completion of forklift-training program within first 30 days
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (preferred)
- Six months warehouse experience (preferred)
- Six months forklift operation experience (preferred)
- Ability to work on the Second Shift (3:00pm - 11:00pm, Sunday-Thursday) and onsite environment
- OSHA safety awareness and attention to detail
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with stand-up, sit-down, clamp forklifts and electric pallet jacks
- Additional forklift certifications
