About the Role DHL Supply Chain is hiring a Forklift Operator for a new start-up operation in Manteno, IL. This role moves stock within our warehouse, loads and unloads shipments, and uses forklifts and pallet jacks to support inventory accuracy and efficient distribution. It’s a fast-paced, safety-focused team environment.
What You'll Do
- Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using various types of forklifts or other power equipment (80% of shift)
- Pull and prepare product for shipment ensuring the exact number and types of product is loaded
- Keep appropriate records and reports for inventory accuracy
- Comply with all OSHA and MSDS standards
- Verify load accuracy; check the load count, stability, and product damage, and report variances as necessary
- Change equipment battery or LP tank and monitor power source as necessary
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 6 months of experience using a commercial warehouse management system (WMS) such as Blue Yonder, Red Prairie, JDA, or SAP is preferred
- Experience operating stand-up counterbalance and sit-down forklifts; ability to use electric pallet jacks
- Familiarity with warehousing, general labor, forklift, quality control, inventory control, loader/unloader, and yard truck (non-DOT) is a plus
- Safety-focused; ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Willingness to comply with OSHA and MSDS standards
Nice to Have
- Additional experience with stand-up counterbalances, layer-picking equipment, or yard handling equipment
- Prior experience in a start-up logistics operation is a plus
