About this role
We are seeking a Forklift Driver/Material Handler for Brose in the United Kingdom. This role supports production by moving materials, servicing manufacturing with required parts, and maintaining clean logistics areas. You will use various forklifts and manual handling equipment and participate in kanban processes to ensure smooth operations.
What You'll Do
- Move material to and from various points in the factory using counterbalance, reach or EK10 trucks
- Collect empty boxes and consolidate
- Ensure manufacturing is serviced with all materials as and when required
- Maintain a consistently high level of cleanliness and housekeeping in all logistics areas
- Operate picking buffer and kanban processes (e-kanban and manual internal kanban)
- Use manual material handling equipment (pump trucks, battery-powered hand trucks)
- Operate forklift trucks and other material handling devices (5% to 80% of working time) including ancillary equipment (battery-changing devices)
- Comply with all company policies, procedures and guidelines
What We're Looking For
- Experience in a high-volume automotive environment and ability to work under pressure
- At least 2 years as a Forklift Driver/Material Handler in a similar industry
- Licence for reach, counterbalance, EK10 and pedestrian trucks
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent attendance
- Must hold permanent right to work in the UK without restriction or sponsorship
