Forklift Driver
Purpose of Position
- To safely and efficiently operate forklifts and other material‑handling equipment to move, load, unload, and store goods within the warehouse or production area, ensuring accurate inventory handling and compliance with safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts safely to load, unload, transport, and stack materials.
- Move raw materials, finished goods, and packaging materials to designated locations.
- Ensure proper positioning and stacking of goods to avoid damage.
- Always follow load limits and equipment operating guidelines.
- Use of rack shuttles for storage
- Any other activities that should be assigned by the line manager
- Assist in receiving, checking, and dispatching goods.
- Ensure correct labelling, storage, and identification of materials.
- Support stock counts and physical inventory exercises when required.
- Maintain accurate movement of goods as per warehouse instructions.
- Comply strictly with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct pre‑operation inspections of forklifts and report defects immediately.
- Always use personal protective equipment (PPE).
