About the Role Rutgers University Correctional Health Care (UCHC) is seeking a Forensic Mental Health Clinician for Garden State Youth Correctional Facility, Yardville, NJ. Reporting to the Clinician Supervisor, the clinician completes specialized psychological testing and assessment of clinical needs of adult inmates sentenced to the Department of Corrections.
UCHC is dedicated to excellence in providing physical, mental health, dental and sex offender treatment services in correctional settings. What You'll Do
- Arrives at DSM IV diagnoses with precision and accuracy through psychological testing and evaluation sessions.
- Provides crisis intervention, individual and group psychotherapy and psycho-education programming as clinically indicated to assigned inmates.
- Involves inmates and Department of Corrections staff in developing achievable and understandable psychosocial treatment plans. What We're Looking For
- Experience conducting specialized psychological testing and assessment of inmates.
- Ability to provide crisis intervention, individual and group psychotherapy and psycho-education programming.
- Ability to collaborate with Department of Corrections staff to develop psychosocial treatment plans.
