Foreman

About the Role Foreman/Supervisor responsible for performing a variety of manual duties on multiple construction projects, helping to coordinate field operations and support skilled trades to safely deliver quality infrastructure work. This role reports to a supervisor and contributes to on-site project delivery by leading laborers and ensuring work is performed to specification. What You'll Do

• Lift, carry and hold construction materials, tools and supplies.
• Clean tools, equipment, materials and work area.
• Dig, spreading and leveling dirt, sand and gravel using a pick, shovel or rake.
• May assist equipment operators in positioning machines, verifying grades and signaling operators to dumping positions to maintain grades as directed.
• Mix, pour and spread concrete, asphalt, gravel and other materials using hand tools.
• Direct common laborers in pouring concrete.
• Erect shoring and bracing.
• Assist in installation of pipe.
• Use power tools and air tools.
• Install and maintain erosion control.
• When not performing the above duties, may assist in other operations as designated by the supervisor. What We're Looking For
• Move throughout a construction jobsite with obstacles including climbing ladders and inclines, operating heavy equipment, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures; report unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
• Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
• Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
• Knowledge of safety policies and procedures as described in the safety manual.
• Education: less than High School Diploma.
• Experience: three or more years related construction experience preferred.
• Physical Activity Level: Heavy physical activity performing strenuous day activities of a primarily productive/technical nature.
• Manual dexterity and ability to perceive attributes of objects and materials.
• Working Conditions: Outdoor exposure to changing weather conditions; outdoor weather exposure, extreme cold/heat, wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts; loud work environment. Compensation & Benefits
