About the Role Dunham's Sports in Troy, MI, a Midwest specialty sporting goods retailer, is hiring a Footwear Buyer to plan and purchase footwear assortments. This on-site, full-time role focuses on identifying market trends, developing assortments, negotiating prices, and driving sales and margins. What You'll Do
- Identify, analyze, and capitalize on market and customer trends
- Merchandise presentation direction and guidelines
- Optimize sales and gross margin dollars by analyzing, evaluating, and adjusting plans
- Achieve Sales, Margins, and Turnover targets
- Develop merchandise assortment by category and continually evaluate and adjust these assortments
- Open-to-Buy, pricing, and markdown management
- Advertising, planning, and execution, including Co-op procurement
- Source out and negotiate the best prices
- Make key buying decisions that provide value and quality
