About the Role Schreiner University's Athletics department is seeking a Football Recruiting Student Worker Level 1 to support recruiting operations, content creation, and visits/events for football prospects. This is a student, part-time role reporting to the Assistant Athletic Director/Football Coaching Staff.
What You'll Do
- Recruiting Operations: enter, update, verify recruit information in the recruiting database/CRM; tag recruits by position, class, geography, and pipeline; maintain status boards; log touches and weekly activity metrics.
- Messaging & Outreach: send pre-approved texts/emails to HS coaches and prospects tied to weekly game results and milestones; build segmented lists; schedule sends; track deliverability and flag hot leads for coach follow-up.
- Graphic Design & Content: create quick social/DM/email graphics using SU brand kits; edit/resize images for IG, X, Stories/Reels, and email headers; maintain organized asset folders; ensure accessibility (alt text, legible contrast).
- Visits & Events: assist with official/unofficial visit prep and day-of support; coordinating itineraries, RSVPs, and on-campus activities; greet families and capture photos; post follow-ups.
What We're Looking For
- Be enrolled as a full-time student at Schreiner University.
- Preferred: at least one year of experience working with a football program at the high school level.
- Skills: strong work ethic and good people skills; ability to lift heavy coolers/ice chests; experience with spreadsheets/CRMs (Google Sheets, Airtable, ARI/Verified Athletics or similar); social media know-how (Instagram, X/Twitter) and short-form video familiarity; event coordination or customer-service experience; interest in sports communications, marketing, or coaching; knowledge of social media applications; ability to follow supervisor directions, especially in emergencies.
Nice to Have
- High school football program experience is a plus, but not required.
