About the Role The Food Service Assistant II at Elmhurst Hospital supports the delivery of safe, high-quality meals by preparing and serving foods and beverages in a hospital setting. This role involves assembling, serving and/or delivering meals to patients and staff in a professional, timely manner and working as part of a team to maintain food safety and quality. What You'll Do
- Perform a wide variety of duties involved in preparing and/or serving foods and beverages in one or more food service environments.
- Assemble, serve and/or deliver meals to patients and/or staff efficiently and professionally.
- Help ensure food safety and quality for patients, visitors and staff.
- Collaborate with the food service team and participate in scheduling (hours: Mon-Fri 3:30 PM - 8:30 PM with rotating weekends/holidays).
- Adhere to facility policies and food safety standards. What We're Looking For
- Certification: Successful completion of a Food Handler Training Certificate Program (ANSI Accredited) within 30 days of start date, required.
- Preferred: High School Diploma or GED and minimum of one year of food service experience in a healthcare setting. Nice to Have
- High School Diploma or GED and healthcare food service experience (one year preferred). Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly pay range: $17.43 - $24.40 per hour (USD).
