The Mercure Brisbane Spring Hill is located on the central city fringe, just minutes from the CBD, Brisbane River, Suncorp Stadium and public transport. Overlooking the city skyline and Roma St Parklands, the Hotel features 179 spacious guest rooms with generous open-aired balconies, modern amenities, an outdoor swimming pool, fitness room, and an alfresco-style restaurant and bar.

Job Description

What will you be doing?

As a Food & Beverage Attendant, you’ll be at the heart of our guest experience.

You’ll help bring Parklands Social to life by:

• Welcoming our guests with a genuine smile and making them feel right at home
• Taking food and beverage orders and delivering them with confidence and care
• Providing friendly, attentive and personalised service
• Setting up, clearing and maintaining our restaurant and bar areas
• Working closely with the kitchen and wider Food & Beverage team to ensure a smooth service
• Preparing and serving beverages, including coffee, cocktails and other drinks
• Answering guest questions about our menu and making recommendations
• Ensuring our restaurant and public areas are always looking their best
• Helping create a fun, welcoming atmosphere for our guests and our team
• Supporting events and other Food & Beverage operations across the hotel when required

We’re looking for someone who:

• Loves hospitality and genuinely enjoys looking after people

• Has a warm, friendly and positive personality

• Is confident communicating with guests and colleagues

• Enjoys working as part of a team

• Can stay calm and organised during busy service periods

• Takes pride in providing great service

• Is reliable, hardworking and willing to get stuck in

• Has a genuine interest in food and beverage

• Is keen to learn and develop their hospitality skills

• Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) in QLD

• Previous hospitality experience is great, but it’s not everything.

• If you have the right attitude, a willingness to learn and a genuine desire to create great experiences for our guests, we’d love to hear from you.
