About this role

About the Role The Fluids Engineer provides technical expertise and defines testing requirements for hydraulic and transmission fluids and related products to support multiple product lines within CNH Industrial. This role ensures fluid performance meets business objectives and environmental standards, collaborating across engineering teams and product validation. What You'll Do

  • As a subject matter expert, support and lead fluid-related projects, identify potential problems, and propose corrective actions while aligning with business objectives and environmental requirements across departments and product lines.
  • Collaborate with Materials Engineering, Hydraulics Engineering, Product Engineering and Product Validation to support fluid development and testing activities.
  • Determine required testing for all fluids used in company products, in accordance with national and internal corporate standards and test methods.
  • Diagnose root causes for fluid non-conformance, perform fluid testing, and provide recommendations to improve performance.
  • Analyze fluid samples from test benches for cleanliness, degradation under service/test conditions, and wear of mating components, especially driveline components.
  • Provide technical input for corporate fluid specifications and test methods.
  • Approve and document new or changed fluid formulations, requiring knowledge of chemistry, recipe and blending processes.
  • Organize and lead technical discussions on fluids. What We're Looking For
  • Strong technical expertise in hydraulic and transmission fluids, and related products such as engine oils, coolants, and brake fluids.
  • Experience supporting fluid development and testing activities across cross-functional teams (Materials, Hydraulics, Product Engineering, Validation).
  • Ability to define testing requirements in line with national and internal standards and test methods.
  • Skill in diagnosing root causes of fluid non-conformance and recommending corrective actions to improve performance.
  • Ability to analyze fluid samples for cleanliness, degradation, and wear of components, particularly driveline systems.
  • Experience contributing to corporate fluid specifications and test methods.
  • Capability to approve and document new or changed fluid formulations, including understanding chemistry/recipe and production/blending processes.
  • Strong communications to organize and lead technical discussions on fluids.
