About this role

About the Role ExxonMobil is seeking an experienced engineer with Fluid Catalytic Cracking (FCC) expertise to join the Kuala Lumpur Technology Center. Based in Kuala Lumpur, you will join a global process engineering team, delivering technical support to manufacturing facilities worldwide and providing deep FCC insights to drive improvements. You will collaborate with global teams and may expand into other fluid solids technologies such as Fluid Coking (FLK). What You'll Do

  • Provide active technical leadership, mentoring engineers, sharing knowledge, and driving improvements and value capture across the organization.
  • Sustainment and deployment of FCC process modeling.
  • Provide FCC process engineering and technical support to ExxonMobil and third-party licensee sites.
  • Support capital projects with FCC engineering to meet business needs and optimize capital use.
  • Lead or support troubleshooting/improvement opportunities for Fluid Solids processes.
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure proper design, manufacture, testing and delivery of equipment.
  • Support installation, commissioning and operation of grassroots or revamped facilities.
  • Develop expertise in other fluids solids processes through mentoring and training as required. What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in oil and gas, petrochemical or refining.
  • Minimum 5 years of specialization in a fluid solids process (Fluid Catalytic Cracking).
  • Technical site or unit experience including monitoring, troubleshooting, asset support, projects and turnarounds.
  • Process and equipment design experience including use of process simulation packages such as Aspen, Pro-II, and KBC Petro-SIM.
  • Ability to ensure health of FCC modeling and optimization tools, and identify needed changes.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledgeable in FCC reaction kinetics.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills, especially in a multi-cultural global team.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to develop creative fit-for-purpose solutions to resolve operational problems.
  • Influence and promote change to achieve desired results with minimal direct authority.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed for various business reasons. Compensation & Benefits
