Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher national diploma in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a relevant technical discipline. An MSc in petroleum/geology or a related engineering field is preferred.

Experience

• Minimum of 10 years of dedicated experience in drilling fluids, completion fluids, and oilfield cement engineering across office and field environments. Experience in complex reservoir environments is preferred.

Certifications:

• Valid BOSIET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training)

• IWCF (International Well Control Forum) or IADC Well Cap Level 4 certification, renewed every two years.

• He shall be able to manage the Project, team, assess and document the conformity of the service in accordance with procedures and operating instructions established. He shall be responsible for:

• Formulate comprehensive drilling fluid, completion fluid, and cement slurry programs tailored to meet specific path objectives safely and cost effectively.

• Prepare mud, cement, and completion fluids programs, including all information as specified in OERNL procedures.

• Prepare estimated cost breakdowns for chemicals and related services for wells to be drilled or worked over. Follow up on well daily operations and recommend changes in drilling/completion fluids to optimize efficiency. Ensure drilling and completion fluids, as well as cement slurries, are mixed and maintained as per program and good oilfield practice.

• Make recommendations and provide specialist assistance when drilling problems occur.

• Manage waste disposal to preserve the environment and comply with local regulations.

• Recommend changes in drilling programs (if necessary) to improve methods, techniques, and speed.

• Reporting, Analysis & Technical Support.

• Carry out special studies and reports on any aspects of drilling and completion operations as required.

• Provide technical advice on sampling and analysis of drilling and completion fluids, cement slurries, and relevant chemical products.

• Assist rig site operations for specific jobs.

• Participate as a member of the emergency task force in the event of a blow out or other major emergency.

• Ensure the technical integrity and efficiency of mud, cement, and completion fluids programs.

• Develop drilling and completion fluids and cement programs, optimizing investments and applying the highest standards of engineering integrity, safety, and environmental.
