About the Role The Floor Technician is responsible for cleaning and maintaining hard floor and carpeted surfaces in a casino environment using floor scrubbers, buffers, backpacks and other equipment. The role requires the candidate to be at least 21 years old and have a minimum of 2 years of floor cleaning experience, plus 4-6 months of housekeeping experience. What You'll Do
- Sweep and dust/mop non-carpeted areas; mop as needed.
- Strip, scrub, wax and buff resilient tile floors; brighten or seal grout.
- Clean upholstery and extract carpeted areas.
- Operate floor care equipment (floor scrubbers, buffers, backpacks) and transport tools to job sites.
- Use bonnets, scrubbers and buffers; employ pads and machines as appropriate.
- Place fans and wet floor signs; monitor for safety and address hazards.
- Inspect completed floor care to ensure standards and return furniture to original locations.
- Maintain and store tools and equipment properly; follow all safety policies and report accidents or unsafe conditions; complete safety training. What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2 years floor cleaning experience; 4-6 months housekeeping experience.
- Knowledge of floor chemicals and equipment; ability to operate floor scrubbers, buffers, backpacks and related machines.
- Must be at least 21 years old; ability to lift 50-75 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a casino environment with moderate to high noise and exposure to cigarette smoke. Compensation & Benefits
