Job title: Floor Lead
About the Role The Floor Lead is responsible for supporting store management and ensuring operational efficiency at the store and delivery levels. The role focuses on driving sales, delivering exceptional customer engagement, and maintaining compliance with cannabis and non-cannabis regulations under Store Management supervision.
What You'll Do
- Provide support, analysis, and recommendations to assist Store Management and ensure operational efficiency at store and delivery levels.
- Drive sales through best-in-class customer engagement and service.
- Manage sales floor activities in partnership with store leadership and assist the Specialist Team with daily operations.
- Adhere to company policies and act with integrity under Store Management supervision.
- Partner with General Manager, AGM/Retail Ops Manager, and Inventory & Compliance Manager to oversee policies, procedures, and administrative duties related to the store.
- Ensure compliance with all BCC, State and City regulations governing cannabis and non-cannabis products.
- Lead training and development to build bench strength and succession planning.
- Support merchandising, inventory management, and time management to maintain a positive store environment.
- Manage loss prevention awareness and oversee shipping/receiving processes and backstock organization.
- Maintain clean, organized backstock and floor areas; ensure accurate stock levels and product knowledge.
- Participate in daily, department, and store meetings; communicate store directives effectively.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by store leadership.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2 years retail management experience
- Must be 21+ years old
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Strong written and verbal communication and leadership skills
- Familiarity with compliance in regulated businesses (e.g., cannabis) and store policies
- Experience with POS systems, computers, phones, and printers
Nice to Have
- Experience in cannabis retail or other regulated industries (a plus)
- Knowledge of loss prevention and inventory control
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $20-$22 per hour
- Status: Full-time; Onsite in Grover Beach, CA
