About the Role Indra Group is strengthening its Space Engineering team by hiring a Flight SW Architect. This role focuses on the design and development of real-time, safety-critical software for space and aeronautics, adhering to industry standards such as ECSS and DO-178. The ideal candidate has significant hands-on experience and proven leadership across project phases.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop real-time, safety-critical software systems for space/aeronautics, following ECSS/DO-178 standards
- Implement and maintain software using C and other languages (e.g., Python, Ada)
- Lead software teams through project phases and produce development documentation
- Manage software configuration using GIT or SVN and ensure traceability
- Contribute to verification, validation, and integration using system test benches
What We're Looking For
- Engineering degree (Electrical, Electronic, Telecommunications) with 10+ years of practical domain experience
- Strong programming skills in C; experience with Python or Ada is a plus
- Solid knowledge of real-time multithreaded systems and RTOS (RTEMS, VxWorks, FreeRTOS) and embedded architectures (RISC-V, ARM, PowerPC)
- Experience with software configuration management (GIT/SVN) and project documentation
- Software leadership experience and ability to generate development documentation
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of Packet Utilization Standard (PUS)
- Experience with embedded hardware control, interfaces, boot software
- Software verification/validation, test benches (EGSE, SCOE), test specifications
- UML/SysML, MISRA-C, containers (Docker, Podman)
